Dear Colleagues:
It is our great pleasure to announce that the 30th Annual Nuclear Materials Management & Safeguards System (NMMSS) Users Technical Exchange will be held May 11-14, 2026.
The 2026 technical program will be offered in an online/virtual format. The annual event is planned and organized jointly by the Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). There is no registration fee to participate in this unique technical exchange opportunity.
The key objectives are to facilitate information exchange through discussions and shared lessons pertinent to U.S. nuclear operators related to nuclear material accounting, nuclear materials management, nuclear security, nonproliferation, and safeguards.
A draft agenda is located in the "Agenda" tab, adjacent to the "Reference Materials" tab providing quick access to selected supportive NMMSS reference documents.. Updates to the agenda will be posted as the roster of speakers and presenters are finalized.
To accommodate the greatest nationwide participation for all participants, the event will begin daily at 11:00 am Eastern Time (8:00 am Pacific Time) and conclude at 3:00 pm Eastern Time (12:00 pm Pacific Time).
Please use the red registration button located at the top of this page to register for the NMMSS 2026 annual technical exchange. After you have registered for the event, you will receive a confirmation email including a Nuclear Material Accountancy (NMA) Learning Management System (LMS) “event ID” and “passcode” for event announcements and updates to support live access to the technical exchange. Our plan is to use Zoom.Gov and simultaneous YouTube streaming.
